Job Summary
Operate processing equipment to portion, scale ingredients, and verify process control points while ensuring products meet quality and GMP standards. Palletize finished cases per specifications, push and pull large weights using electric or hand jacks, and supply packaging materials as needed. Maintain a safe, clean work environment by adhering to plant safety rules, 6s initiative, and hazardous condition alerts. Complete required production reports and assist Quality Assurance in obtaining product samples. Work in high noise areas with mandatory hearing protection, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle potentially hazardous chemicals or equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess basic math and computer skills
- Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to listen and follow basic instructions and work routines from superiors
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in group or team environment about safety, product quality
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
- Must be able to complete reports and forms
- Must be able to understand and follow safety rules and instructions
- Must be able to work in both a hot and cold environment
- Must be able to work in high noise areas and use mandatory hearing protection
- Must be able to work various shifts
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience in a food processing/manufacturing/industrial environment
