Job Summary
Production Associate responsible for efficient production of textile baling and computer production, maintaining organization, following safety and asset-protection processes, and meeting quality and productivity goals. Responsibilities include managing inventory (FIFO), operating and maintaining equipment (forklifts, balers), securing freight inside trailers, communicating supply needs, ensuring product preparation meets customer standards, completing logs/reports, and contributing to continuous improvement of material flow and tasks. Required competencies include safety and quality adherence, professional communication with customers and staff, confidentiality of business results, and basic math and reading skills. Physical demands include standing eight or more hours, lifting up to 75 pounds, and handling equipment in a noisy, variable-temperature environment. The role is on-site at Romeoville, IL. Required Qualifications
- Experience with machinery preferred, but not required
- Forklift usage up to 30% of the day; forklift certification?
- Ability to stand for eight hours and lift up to 75 pounds
- Good reading, writing and math skills
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and loud environments
