Job Summary
Sort salable goods from salvage material and garbage, then evaluate product value and prepare merchandise for retail sale. Remove unsold items, maintain production tallies and supplies inventory, and identify goods for special sales or auctions. Keep the work environment clean, process written orders, and demonstrate safe work practices by reporting hazards. Maintain adequate merchandise levels and build customer satisfaction while contributing to team efforts. Perform physical duties including lifting 30-40 pounds, standing long periods, and navigating uneven terrain in a warehouse with varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Lifting and carrying 30 - 40 pounds
- Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers)
- Standing for long periods of time
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing
- Climbing ladders
- Able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain)
- Organizing, sorting, categorizing, counting, adding, subtracting
- Interpreting data
- Problem Solving
- Communicating with the public
- Create and read written communication
- Completing written orders
