Job Summary
Assist mill operators, operate side loaders, and perform warehouse duties including banding, clearing lines, and placing products in outside racks. Safely operate power tools, mark part numbers and attach identification tags, and visually inspect work for defects per Quality Systems. Provide cost-saving suggestions to improve productivity and maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area. Read tape measures, follow posted schedules, and adhere to all safety rules while lifting up to 50 pounds above shoulder height. Work day shift hours from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with potential overtime shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on work orders.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
- A minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipment
- Good Communication Skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns
- Able to use of measuring gauges
- Able to read a tape measure
- Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- Willing/able to work overtime
- Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment
- Safely operating a variety of power tools including electric and pneumatic
- Team player and keeping safety first
