Job Summary
Conduct safely handling and filling gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure cylinders per federal, state, and local regulations. Review cylinders prior to filling, perform odor tests and valve checks, and analyze products for purity and correct mixtures. Prepare high-pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling by attaching to manifolds and evacuating to ensure quality. Fill cylinders by pressure and weight, assist with loading and unloading cylinders on pallets and tractor trailers, and maintain accurate records for DOT, FDA, and OSHA standards. Requires 2nd shift (1pm-9:30pm) Monday-Friday employment at the Cheshire, CT plant with a pay rate of $23/hr.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Mechanical aptitude
- A minimum of 1 year of related technical experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent
- Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position's responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications
