Job Summary
Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) in Cheektowaga, NY responsible for safely handling and filling gas products into liquid, medical and high-pressure cylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations and Airgas procedures. Duties include reviewing cylinders prior to filling, performing safety checks (odor tests, caps/valves), analyzing product purity and correct mixtures, preparing high-pressure and cryogenic cylinders, attaching to manifolds, evacuating for quality, filling by pressure and weight, loading/unloading cylinders, operating a forklift/pallet jack, and maintaining accurate DOT/FDA/OSHA and Airgas records. Requires safety-focused mindset, mechanical aptitude, ability to compute measurements and units, and familiarity with labeling, documentation, and basic office/ERP systems; experience with SAP or similar ERP and Google Suite/Microsoft Office preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Minimum 1 year related technical experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent
- Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position's responsibilities
- A minimum of 1 year of related technical experience
