Job Summary
Process donated items into inventory by sorting, inspecting, testing, pricing, and tagging products across categories like books, electronics, and housewares. Stock the sales floor with organized, presentable merchandise while rotating old or unsold inventory to refresh product selection. Occasionally interact with customers to answer product questions and provide excellent service. Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to all safety and quality standards. Cross-train in various departments as needed to support business requirements.

- Must be able to sort donated items by type (books, media, textiles, housewares, etc.) which include season, color, and quality of product
- Must be able to hang, size and price, tag, and prepare items to be sold on the sales floor
- Must be able to inspect and quick test items as needed that plug-in or run on batteries to ensure the product is in good workable condition
- Must be able to make decisions to price according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of product (good, better, best), which may include researching the item's value on the internet or utilizing other company tools and standards
- Must be able to ensure production and sales floor areas are well organized, stocked, properly merchandised, and clean
- Must be able to provide excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers; answer product questions as needed
- Must be able to rotate or pull old or unsold product in a timely manner from the sales floor to ensure product selection is refreshed as necessary
- Must be able to process E-Commerce product (sort, hang, size, price, tag, etc.)
- Must be able to follow all retail center policies and procedures
- Must be able to ensure work areas are clear and organized and adhere to continuous improvement standards
- Must be able to follow all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers
- Must be able to cross-train in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required
- Must be able to meet or exceed minimum productivity standards and expectations/Key Performance Indicator (KPI)s for assigned duties
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
- Must be able to work Sunday through Thursday schedule
- Must be able to work 9AM to 9PM Mondays through Saturdays and 9AM to 8PM Sundays
- Must be able to work in donations
- Must be able to work in a production environment processing and sorting donated items following company quality standards and guidelines to determine which items will be placed on the sales floor to be sold
- Must be able to price and test items as required
- Must be able to ensure the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion
- Must be able to occasionally be in contact with customers and expected to be responsive in communication and provide excellent customer service
- Must be able to be assigned to various areas that they have been trained in to include hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, or shoes per the business needs

Desired Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- One (1) year of retail experience is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills are a must
