Job Summary
Process new and donated items to meet production goals, sort and categorize goods for e-Commerce, and stage fresh products for the floor. Operate power equipment including stackers, pallet jacks, tilt masters, compactors, and forklifts while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized backroom. Determine price points, ticket items, and safely dispose of hazardous materials. Requires excellent time management, basic math skills, and the ability to work flexible schedules including holidays, evenings, and weekends. This role supports Goodwill NCW's mission of elevating people through skill building and sustained employment across north-central Wisconsin.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule
- Sufficient physical ability to repetitively stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight
- Ability to use a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds
- Ability to reach approximately 54 inches
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch
- Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
- Age 18 or older and trained/checked off to operate pallet jack and compactor
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
- Excellent communication, customer service skills, and strong attention to detail
- Experience operating power equipment
- Experience with computers
- Willingness and ability to learn
