Job Summary
Feed and load raw materials, assist with masa prep and dough sheeting, and monitor chips as they exit the fryer and seasoning drum. Hand-pack, weigh, and seal bags while checking fill weights and seal quality, then keep the line stocked with corn, tallow, seasoning, and packaging. Perform line changeovers and full sanitation between production runs, maintaining clean workstations and equipment throughout the shift. Check chips against quality specs for color, crunch, and seasoning coverage, pulling any non-conforming units. Fill out production, downtime, and quality logs, and follow batch and lot coding procedures for traceability. Rotate between prep, frying, seasoning, and packaging stations as assigned. This 40-hour per week position requires weekend availability and a flexible schedule. Ancient Crunch Inc. manufactures its flagship MASA Chips in-house at the Hackettstown facility using real ingredients with no seed oils, artificial flavors, or preservatives.
Required Qualifications
- Monday - Friday; weekend availability and a flexible working schedule
- 40-hour per week
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Able to commute to Hacketstown, NJ
- Good memory
- Follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Able to read, write, and communicate well
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials throughout the shift
- Ability to use stairs and ladders throughout the shift
- Ability to work in hot, humid, wet, and industrial production environments
- Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, gloves, hearing protection, face shields, and protective clothing
