Job Summary
Mount core boxes, mix and test core sand, and perform molding functions such as preparing pouring basins and mold spraying. Operate punch-out equipment, finish risers by breaking and chipping, and run shakeouts with portable grinders. Clean molding floors by operating and locking out equipment to reclaim or dispose of sand. Perform bolt threading and operate powered industrial vehicles. Requires one year of manufacturing experience, ability to lift 35-pound boxes, and operate heavy machinery. Shifts are 8 to 12 hours on the 2nd or 3rd shift in Mapleton, Illinois. Supplemental status with no holiday pay.
Required Qualifications
- One-year prior manufacturing work experience
- Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles
- Positions start as supplemental (40 or more hours per week but with no holiday pay and limited benefits)
- 2nd or 3rd shift
