Job Summary
Test gas for purity and inspect empty cylinders. Apply the compression temperature/pressure method to fill high-pressure industrial, medical, and mixed gas cylinders. Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases, ensuring pre-fill and post-fill inspections verify safety before release. Attend to cylinder conditions, set aside those requiring maintenance, and regularly inspect pumping apparatus and pressure gauges. Fill cylinders to target pressure or weight, maintain accurate filling records, and assist with loading/unloading trucks and trailers. Perform inventory management and general housekeeping while supporting customers when necessary. Work Monday through Friday in Geismar, LA.
Required Qualifications
- Valid employment authorization in the U.S.
- Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to perform very heavy work - routinely lifts 25 - 75 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs. with the aid of a lifting device
- Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documentation
- Ability to operate forklift
- Forklift certification

- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Prior forklift experience
