Job Summary
Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements, then assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts. Verify specifications by measuring completed components and resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions or notifying the supervisor for resources. Maintain equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Work the 3rd shift (10:00 pm – 6:00 am) with immediate start in Beaver Dam, WI. Report to the assembly manager.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 2 years of experience
- Previous experience working within a highly technical environment
- Strong basic math skills
- Previous experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly
- Previous forklift experience
- Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge in blue prints reading and torque values
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently
- High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from is accredited institution
