Job Summary
Gain hands-on experience as a Production Assistant in the Women’s Bean Project’s transitional job-readiness training program. Responsibilities include performing physical tasks such as lifting, squatting, and moving objects while demonstrating attention to detail and following instructions. Successful candidates must be able to work with allergen food products and manage repetitive motions. The program also involves attending classes on essential skills, with support from a case manager. The position requires reliability and commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate attention to details and follow directions
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, and lift for long periods of time throughout the day
- Ability to tolerate repetitive motions of hands, wrists, and arms
- Work with strong spices, orders, and allergen food products
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and frequently move objects to/from production tables, racking systems, and pallets
- Able to write in English and read recipes, instructions, SOP’s and understand verbal directions
- Ability to do physical labor and other physical tasks within established standards of speed and quality
- Workers must be punctual and reliable
Additional Requirements
- Applications submitted after 3/16/2026 will be considered for our July 2026 cohort
- Women's Bean Project is a drug and alcohol-free workplace and performs regular drug testing
- A time of hire drug test will be required to start in our program
- Background checks are also completed as a part of our program but are not required before hire
