Job Summary
Conduct live and recorded broadcast preparation by compiling scripts, guest information, and program materials while supporting studio setup and production area logistics. Coordinate communication between personnel, guests, and talent; escort guests for check-in; and gather video clips, graphics, and other production elements. Perform research and fact-gathering to support program development, including simple editing of voiceover and soundcuts from taped material. Log and conduct data entry within VOA's digital asset management system and train on technical equipment and multimedia journalism skills. Meet productivity standards and deadlines as a member of the team.
Required Qualifications
- Trains as a multimedia journalist (video, audio, editing)
- Trains on the use of technical equipment
- Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines
- Works as a member of a team
- Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA's digital asset management system
