Job Summary

Assist editors on NBC News Daily by editing video and graphics, researching and fact-checking stories, and pitching engaging segments. Support the show rundown to ensure video and graphics are accurate and current, mine and edit video and sound for assigned stories, and contribute ideas under tight deadlines. Requires experience in broadcast, digital or cable environments (2+ years), proficiency with Avid, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience. Located in New York, NY with a hybrid work arrangement (office at least four days per week).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • 2 years of experience in broadcast, digital or cable environments
  • Experience editing video on Avid
  • Willingness to work in New York, NY
  • Ability to edit video and graphics under deadlines
  • Strong news judgment and storytelling ability
