Job Summary
Work with editors and reporters on stories, MOS interviews, and original video content while producing clips for YouTube and other platforms. Edit short-form video segments from Fox News and FOX Business, multitasking on tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Prioritize assignments to meet strict deadlines and handle duties as assigned, including updating and programming social media channels. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent experience, strong video editing skills with Adobe Premiere, and 1-2+ years of online news experience. The position offers a Wednesday-Sunday shift from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET, with a pay rate of $21.00-27.65 per hour. Candidates must possess excellent editorial judgment, the ability to work under pressure, and familiarity with AI tools for research and content preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- Strong video editing skills
- 1-2+ years of online news experience either writing or producing
- Strong knowledge of and passion for news, media, and pop culture
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience multi-tasking several projects
- Excellent editorial judgment and knowledge of current events
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced 24-hour news environment
- Ability to work some holidays and adhere to shift changes
- Ability to be a team player willing to jump in when needed in breaking news situations
- Proven capability to be creative and think 'outside the box'
- Exposure to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, NotebookLM) used to assist with research and digital content preparation
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge Photoshop & video editing systems such as Adobe Premiere preferred
