Job Summary
Oversee daily assembly and paint-line operations by coordinating workflows, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely production while monitoring key metrics like output, yield, and downtime. Train staff on assembly techniques, standard operating procedures, and safety practices, and enforce OSHA regulations through briefings, incident investigations, and corrective actions. Troubleshoot production issues via root-cause analysis, collaborate with engineering to optimize processes, and maintain accurate documentation including work instructions and non-conformance reports. Coordinate cross-functional workflows with procurement, logistics, and quality teams to optimize throughput while managing staffing activities such as scheduling, attendance, and performance reviews.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly with proven supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of assembly processes, lean manufacturing principles, and production systems (ERP experience with Workwise or Acumatica preferred)
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices in a manufacturing environment
- Leadership and team management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Experience in quality control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma certification is a plus
