Job Summary
Assemble and test production for the aviation industry while maintaining the highest quality, safety, and on-time delivery standards. Follow safe work practices and procedures to ensure a "safety first" culture, preparing each assembly work order according to technical instructions, CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, and standard operations procedures. Use proper hand and power tools and PPE to discern quality of parts, document assemblies, and test finished products before transferring them to Quality Control. Assist engineering with prototype builds and resolving assembly complications, while maintaining tools and calibrated equipment. Keep a clean workspace and adhere to requirements including a high school diploma, prior electromechanical assembly experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This role includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and is part of SPX Technologies' Detection and Measurement division, which designs marine aids to navigation equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Prior electromechanical assembly experience
- Familiarity with wiring harnesses
- Familiarity with soldering
- Familiarity with drilling
- Familiarity with AC & DC currents
- Ability to read and carefully follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a production environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good computer skills such as use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SAP a plus
