Job Summary
Assemble assigned product parts on the assembly line using bolts, screws, speed clips, and rivets while adhering to established procedures and blueprints. Operate drill presses, hand drills, clicker presses, and riveting machines to assist in assembly operations. Disassemble, re-work, or salvage scrap parts and perform spot checks to ensure adherence to quality standards. Inspect products for defects such as missing brackets, damaged components, or incorrect artwork, and remove small quantities of metal to produce a smooth finish. Input and maintain data in the Traverse Manufacturing System while setting up and operating rivet machines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
- Ability to set-up and operate a Rivet Machine
- Ability to input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate forklift upon completing certification requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
