Production Area Leader (Sr. Supervisor)

Job Summary
Oversee production flow for corrugate and fanfold operations, driving improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency. Develop and implement standard work and training programs while managing roll stock and starch systems to ensure continuous manufacturing flow. Partner with cross-functional teams to lead capital projects, identify root causes of equipment failures, and apply continuous improvement tools to enhance reliability. Back up shift supervisors across all shifts and weekends to direct production teams and meet delivery targets. Use data to monitor process performance, implement new technologies, and maintain the pay-for-skill program. Work on the manufacturing floor, standing and walking most of the shift, while occasionally lifting objects up to 49 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of manufacturing process improvement experience
- At least 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational improvements
- Demonstrated success improving efficiency, reducing costs, and applying lean manufacturing principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to support decisions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Willing to travel occasionally for training and other business-related activities
- Physical ability to walk and stand most of the assigned shift
- Physical ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to type, write, and manage tools and equipment
- Physical ability to frequently stand and walk
- Physical ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach
- Physical ability to occasionally lift and move objects such as boxes of 15-25 pounds and above 49 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus to watch video monitor
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Corrugate experience
- Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, control logic, and CAD software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support multiple shifts as needed
