Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments while reviewing documents to determine personnel and material priorities. Confer with department supervisors, vendors, and customers to assess progress, coordinate shipping activities, and resolve delays or complaints. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor shortages, or backlogs, collaborating with management and engineering. Monitor work processes to assess accuracy and conformance to standards, recording production data and compiling status reports on progress and inventory levels. Prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, and purchase orders while maintaining files for maintenance records and cost reports. Contact suppliers to verify shipment details and plan production commitments using sales forecasts. Utilize inventory management software, ERP systems, and spreadsheet applications to manage data, calculate labor and material costs, and generate reports for decision-making.
