Job Summary
Monitor daily production data for an assigned portfolio of operated assets, investigating exceptions and allocation variances to ensure reported volumes accurately reflect field operations. Partner with Lease Operators, Foremen, and Measurement personnel to resolve production issues before month-end close, while maintaining allocation networks and reconciling purchaser statements against allocated sales volumes. Execute month-end production accounting activities, including root cause analysis of reporting discrepancies and validation of production master data to support SOX controls and regulatory reporting obligations. Validate production volumes for Texas Railroad Commission, ONRR, and EIA submissions, and support asset integrations by building and testing allocation networks for newly acquired assets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Energy Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Three or more years of upstream oil and gas production accounting experience
- Experience with ProCount or comparable production accounting software
- Strong understanding of production allocations, reconciliations, production reporting, and upstream operations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting acquisitions and asset integrations
- Experience with Carte, SQL, Power BI, or similar analytical tools
- Knowledge of production regulatory reporting processes
