Job Summary
Review work orders to assemble pre-hung door units per customer specifications and safety standards. Inspect finished products for defects, touch up as necessary, and maintain a clean work area. Perform production line tasks while communicating with employees to ensure smooth operations. Use manufacturing tools and machinery such as chop saws, routers, and nail guns. Requires high school diploma, forklift certification, and ability to lift up to 85 pounds. Reports to the Operations Manager in the Production department.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to carefully follow directions
- Ability to use manufacturing tools/machinery (chop saw, door machine, router, nail gun, etc.)
- Forklift certification
- Exceptional finger and manual dexterity
- Ability to frequently lift up to 85 pounds and/or pushing 100 pounds
- Ability to bend, crouch, stand, and sit for long durations
- Ability to work regularly near moving mechanical parts
- Ability to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Ability to use safety equipment such as protective eyewear, earplugs, gloves, safety shoes etc.
- Ability to work in a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free workplace
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Ability to pass a fitness for duty test (if required for the branch)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with door components and assembly techniques
