Job Summary

Translate product strategy and customer insights into intuitive user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished front-end UI designs. Create high-fidelity interactive prototypes to validate concepts internally with stakeholders and externally with higher education partners and students. Partner on customer research, synthesize feedback, and translate complex user needs into simple, elegant product solutions. Maintain and expand the UI component library to ensure design consistency and efficient handoffs to engineering. Actively experiment with AI tools and emerging technology to accelerate design workflows and generate dev-ready assets. This role requires 3+ years of professional UX/Product Design experience in a web or SaaS environment. Full-Time, Exempt position with a salary of $85,000-90,000 per year. 100% remote company with unlimited PTO and 401k benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional UX/Product Design experience in a web or SaaS environment
  • Portfolio showing end-to-end UX process
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Understanding of information architecture
  • Understanding of user flows
  • Understanding of usability heuristics
  • Advanced skills in Figma (or equivalent tools)
  • Ability to balance ideal user experiences with technical feasibility
  • Ability to balance development scope
  • Ability to balance business objectives
  • Outstanding ability to articulate the 'why' behind design decisions
  • Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions internally
  • Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions with customers
  • Ability to ask insightful questions
  • Genuine curiosity and hands-on experience using modern design and AI tools
  • Experience leveraging tools like Claude Design alongside Figma
  • Experience rapidly building prototypes
  • Experience maintaining scalable design systems
  • Experience generating dev-ready assets for engineering
  • Self-motivated go-getter mindset
  • Ability to look beyond assigned feature cards
  • Ability to identify improvements within the product
  • Ability to identify opportunities within the business
  • Experience with—or a strong eagerness to learn—web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA)

Desired Qualifications

  • Background designing high-engagement consumer-facing web or mobile applications
  • Experience in Higher Education, EdTech, or multi-stakeholder SaaS platforms
  • Basic understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic design systems)
