Job Summary
Own the UK Digital Trust technical strategy, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded from concept to decommissioning. Lead development of design patterns for Zero Trust Architecture, including segmentation, continuous verification, and policy-driven access. Define and evolve the Data-Centric Security model, integrating classification, tagging, encryption, and attribute-based access control strategies. Drive inclusion of cryptographic architecture into solutions, including Post-Quantum Cryptography-ready design patterns and secure key management. Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, guiding implementation, testing, and assurance while engaging with senior stakeholders to translate complex trust concepts into actionable decisions. Shape internal standards and represent the organisation externally in standards bodies and partner ecosystems. Requires UK National status with full Security Clearance (SC).
Required Qualifications

- Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats
- Security Clearance (SC) prior to commencing employment
- Resided in the UK for the last 5 years
- Minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years (in some circumstances)
- Reside in Reading, United Kingdom
- Lead development of design patterns for Zero Trust Architecture
- Define and evolve Data-Centric Security model
- Include classification, tagging, encryption, attribute-based access control strategies
- Contribute to the global approach to Data-Centric Security
- Drive inclusion of cryptographic architecture into solutions
- Implement Hybrid classical/PQC key exchange
- Establish Cryptographic agility frameworks
- Manage Secure key management and HSM integration
- Develop defensible design patterns for high-assurance systems
- Ensure alignment with NCSC, NIST, ETSI and sector specific standards
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams
- Guide implementation, testing, and assurance
- Engage with senior stakeholders
- Shape internal standards, patterns, and governance
- Represent the organisation externally
- Contribute to working groups, standards bodies, and partner ecosystems
- Operate at architecture engineering, and governance levels simultaneously

Desired Qualifications
- Currently held Security Clearance (SC)
- Dual national from a non-ITAR country (if approved by the MOD)
