Job Summary
Product Support Specialist (PSS) assists Ahead account managers through formal technical design assistance of Ahead’s solution and service offerings to existing and prospective customers. The PSS helps with technical aspects of a sales campaign and is part of the Engineering organization, responsible for quoting/sizing, building configurations, designing and architecting. The role aims to evolve into the technical thought leader for each client, with emphasis on educating oneself and clients, collaborating to produce bills of materials, completing configurations and quotes for vendor hardware and software solutions, performing performance analysis and sizing with Technical Architects, gathering pre-sales proposals and documentation, completing pre-site qualification and documentation quickly, creating baseline proposals and RFP responses, and training Technical Architects on opportunity and quoting processes and tools. Experience with Cisco CCW/Dell OSC/NetApp/HPE quote tools is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-5 years of hands on experience in a data center setting
- Extensive knowledge of data center solutions: storage, networking, Compute, virtualization, data center management / automation, and security
- Professional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence others to achieve results
- Leadership: Independent, self-motivated, self-starter and possess good working attitude
- Able to work well within the team and with partners
