Job Summary

Product Specialist to implement the sales strategy and business plan in order to maximize commercial performance of designated Idorsia products for the assigned territory (Kingston, Ontario). Responsibilities include calling on targeted healthcare professionals (HCPs) in face-to-face and virtual environments, building productive relationships with recognized experts, KOLs, and other stakeholders, and selecting appropriate engagement channels to drive informed, value-based conversations. The role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, medical, marketing, and other partners) to deliver outstanding customer experiences, developing a comprehensive cross-functional territory business plan, leveraging omni-channel capabilities, educating healthcare professionals on safe and effective product use, managing the territory promotional budget, and representing Idorsia at medical congresses and society meetings while ensuring compliance with industry guidelines and regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences or related field required
  • 2+ years Pharmaceutical Sales Experience
  • A proven track record of sales delivery and drive for superior results
  • Experience in sales/education discussions with specialists would be an asset
  • Strong digital marketing aptitude to support day to day activities
  • Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagement
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative mindset with the capability to analyse and adapt to changing needs of the market
  • Experience in managing and optimizing Territory field budget
  • Strong ability to identify and understand the patient journey and HCP adoption journey
  • An optimistic can-do mindset with a natural ability to drive ownership and accountability
  • Experience using omni-channel tools in moving HCP perceptions and attitudes
  • Strong technical skills including CRM system including all the associated omnichannel assets and functionality to optimise each customer experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (both with customers and colleagues)
  • Ability to build strong relationships and engagement
  • A proven team player who works collaboratively and is effective working as part of a cross functional team, leveraging resources to deliver business objectives and optimal outcomes for patients
  • Local and national travel could be required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
