Job Summary
Map the commercial property claim lifecycle from FNOL through settlement to identify friction points and improvement opportunities. Define practical standards for investigation, coverage analysis, damage assessment, estimating, reserving, and vendor coordination. Identify gaps in policy, loss, and documentation data that hinder sound decision-making. Translate deep claims expertise into product requirements, workflows, and decision frameworks that reduce claim duration and improve estimate accuracy. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Claims Operations to shape how loss and financial information is captured and structured. Prioritize changes that improve claim outcomes and turn operational insight into measurable product improvements. Serve as the trusted internal authority on commercial property claims, guiding teams through complex coverage and settlement scenarios.
Required Qualifications
- Deep, hands-on Commercial Property claims experience
- Ideally as a field or desk adjuster, examiner, supervisor, or claims leader
- At a P&C carrier, TPA, MGA, or commercial property focused organization
- Strong knowledge of the full Commercial Property claim lifecycle
- Sound judgment navigating complex coverage, documentation, vendor, and financial considerations
- Ability to evaluate complex workflows, identify root causes, and distinguish meaningful improvements from cosmetic ones
- Comfort owning ambiguous, high-leverage work with significant operational and financial impact
- Curiosity about how automation and AI can improve claims workflows
- Judgment to know where human expertise, documentation, and controls still matter
