Product Security Engineer

Product Security Engineer responsible for supporting the security of a BD product throughout the development lifecycle, executing activities such as threat modeling, vulnerability scanning and remediation, and security risk assessments to reduce security risks and ensure compliance with medical device requirements. Collaborates with R&D and software engineers in an agile environment to implement security requirements and technologies (encryption, authentication, audit logging, SBOM creation, patch management, vulnerability monitoring, antivirus/antimalware), supports cryptography/key management and certificate lifecycle, evaluates secure communications across device interfaces and cloud APIs (TLS/mTLS), and contributes to security documentation, incident response, and testing of automated vulnerability controls. Minimum 3+ years in related fields and a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline are required; a master’s degree is preferred. The role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory awareness (510(k)/PMA context), and a strong security engineering foundation in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
