Job Summary

Evaluate and interpret U.S. and international product safety and regulatory standards for divisional products. Provide safety guidance to product development teams, coordinate regulatory reviews, and lead action plans to resolve identified compliance issues. Communicate standards changes to engineering and technical teams, review operator manuals and marketing materials, and compile compliance documentation. Represent the company on standards development organization committees and serve as a liaison to the Legal Department regarding worldwide response to product compliance and injury incidents. Work with third-party certification bodies to obtain necessary certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, or Agricultural Engineering program, or closely related engineering field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product safety or product testing (Engineer III)
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in product safety or product testing (Engineer IV)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product safety or product testing (Engineer V)
  • Experience in international standards and regulatory requirements for earthmoving, construction, or similar products
  • Previous experience in product safety and regulatory compliance and standards promulgation
  • Collaborative team player with ability to communicate and work effectively with various stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to work independently and apply engineering principles to regulatory requirements
