Job Summary
Independent, hands-on certification professional responsible for managing certification projects for HVAC products, evaluating products against national/international standards, preparing and signing Certification Reports and Certificates of Compliance, and providing technical guidance to clients. Requires interpreting standards and procedures, performing witness testing, reviewing test data, configuring lab workflows (Test Lab Work Orders), and maintaining conformity with CSA/UL/IEC requirements. Strong communication with clients, ability to manage costs and timelines, and proficiency with lab equipment and technical reporting are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent industry experience
- Knowledge of CSA, UL or IEC Standards (e.g., IEC 60335) for HVAC products
- Experience with testing procedures and lab certification processes
- Ability to communicate findings and test results clearly to customers and engineers
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) and technical report writing
