Job Summary
Senior Quality Engineer for Pratt & Whitney's Advanced Casting Foundry in Asheville, NC, leading quality engineering across the greenfield product line. Develops and implements quality controls and systems, performs root cause analysis, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to minimize defects and prevent customer escapes. Drives QMS enhancements to support FAA & AS9100 scope expansion, conducts technical investigations, and leads quality-related activities within manufacturing and MRB processes. Applies DMAIC/CORE and Lean strategies to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and lower costs; communicates effectively to align quality and ACF objectives with business metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years experience
- demonstrated leadership & management experience
- knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems
- experience with quality tools such as FAI, PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T
- experience with root cause corrective action and eliminating non-conformances
- DMAIC, CORE, Six Sigma or Lean Systems experience
