Product Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and inspection processes for industrialized product ranges. Conduct detailed testing, inspections, and Gage R&R studies to ensure conformance with established quality and safety standards. Investigate product malfunctions, lead root cause analyses, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent nonconformities. Perform capability studies on current and new processes, adjust tools as necessary, and support incoming and outgoing quality inspections. Collaborate with engineering, production, and global teams to integrate process improvements and maintain consistent quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
  • In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 5+ years of recent Quality Engineering experience within a production or manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years prior experience in manufacturing or production industries
  • Expertise in metrology equipment, uses and limitations
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Good knowledge of Geometric tolerances and dimensioning
  • Applied experience with basic quality tools such as RCCA methodologies, value-stream maps, flowcharts, PFMEA, and PDCA
  • Applied understanding of ISO 9001 or an equivalent system
  • Ability to be able to enter and work in a cleanroom environment
  • Strong understanding of materials and ability to implement and understand SPC analysis
  • Strong computer skills: particularly Microsoft Office 365 suite and SAP knowledge
  • Technical knowledge and experience (mechanical, electrical, software)
  • Must possess the ability to substantiate and clearly communicate information to an international audience

  • Position reports on-site to the Duncan, SC Office: M – F, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA)
