Job Summary
Execute comprehensive test plans for smart home devices and software, ensuring product quality through incoming inspections and adherence to QA best practices. Collaborate with manufacturing, hardware, and software teams to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and manage the end-to-end defect reporting lifecycle. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework to improve coverage and efficiency while debugging devices across Z-Wave, Matter, 4G/5G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth protocols. This role supports Rently's IoT ecosystem by acting as a technical gatekeeper to ensure wireless protocols and integrations function flawlessly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Working experience with Python and Robot Framework
- Proven experience working with smart devices in a Linux OS environment
- Ability to methodically analyze and troubleshoot complex issues within consumer device products
- Proven ability to multitask effectively and work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in productivity software suites (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
