Product Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Lead complex quality investigations using methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, A3, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis to resolve issues related to product design, manufacturing, assembly, suppliers, materials, and process variation. Coordinate containment, corrective, and preventive actions while ensuring robust verification of implemented solutions. Collaborate closely with Design Engineering to improve product robustness, manufacturability, and reliability, and support production teams with hands-on problem solving on the shop floor. Contribute to product development through DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, design reviews, and risk assessments while driving continuous improvement and maintaining quality documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or manufacturing quality
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, metrology, DFMEA/PFMEA, APQP/PPAP, and Lean Manufacturing
- Experience in root cause analysis, using structured quality methodologies to resolve product design, manufacturing, assembly, and human relation deviations
- Experience working and leading cross-functional teams - solving complex manufacturing issues
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERP/MES/QMS systems and supplier quality is an advantage
- Experience from high-performance automotive, motorsport, aerospace, or low-volume manufacturing is highly valued
- Experience with composites, EV technologies, prototype builds, or launch quality is considered a plus
