Job Summary
Product Quality Engineer II at Apex Order Pickup Solutions steers quality throughout the product lifecycle for commercial electronic products, partnering with hardware, manufacturing, supply chain, and sourcing teams. You will establish component, sub-system, and system-level quality requirements, assess design robustness for manufacturability, lead DFMEA activities, develop production quality specifications, and collaborate on supplier qualification, PFMEAs, PPAPs, and corrective actions. The role emphasizes proactive quality planning, risk reduction, continuous improvement, pilot builds and ramp, and ensuring quality impact across changes, with travel as needed. Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent technical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product quality, manufacturing quality, or new product introduction (NPI) within an electronics industry
- Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB assemblies, and electromechanical systems
- Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and risk-based quality methodologies
- Experience with supplier quality management and new supplier qualifications
- Experience defining and executing validation, qualification, and reliability test plans
- Strong problem-solving skills using structured quality tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, SPC, etc.)
- Proficiency utilizing variation methodologies such as DMAIC or RED X
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with testing electronics functionality & troubleshooting tools (Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Hipot, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.)
- Travel up to 30–50% domestically and internationally
