Product Quality Design Lead

Job Summary
Design and continuously update clear, actionable Product Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) Specifications for the Ice Cream category, embedding FSQ requirements from early concept through industrialization and launch. Support all stages of the product innovation pipeline by working with Technical Category R&D to incorporate FSQ criteria, verify expectations during industrial trials, and drive continuous improvement using learnings from plant audits and consumer feedback. Provide expertise on deviations and act as a global point of contact for nonconformities, while leading the development of FSQ KPIs and the Product FSQ Innovation dashboard. Ensure FSQ perspectives are reflected in strategic choices across the entire value chain, from raw materials to finished product attributes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting a First Time Right approach throughout the development journey
- Ability to verify that safety and quality expectations are met under real world production conditions
- Ability to ensure alignment between design intent and industrial execution
- Ability to drive the continuous improvement of Product FSQ Specifications
- Ability to integrate learnings from plant audits, field operations, and consumer feedback
- Ability to actively collaborate with relevant cross functional teams
- Ability to provide expertise when deviations from product specifications are requested
- Ability to act as a global point of contact in the event of nonconformities or incidents
- Ability to support analysis and decision-making processes
- Ability to participate in governance discussions to ensure that FSQ perspectives are fully reflected in strategic choices
- Ability to lead the development and management of FSQ KPIs related to innovation
- Ability to ensure clear visibility on progress and performance across projects
- Experience working in a dynamic global environment
- Experience taking ownership of the FSQ perimeter for Ice Cream
- Experience contributing to legacy portfolio support
- Experience supporting integration support for M&A's
- Experience working closely with core functions such as R&D, Marketing, Legal, Packaging and all manufacturing sites
- Experience supporting the stage & gate process
- Experience ensuring that Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) requirements are fully embedded
- Experience supporting a First Time Right approach throughout the development journey
- Experience ensuring that FSQ criteria are incorporated from the earliest phases of product design
- Experience verifying that safety and quality expectations are met under real world production conditions
- Experience ensuring alignment between design intent and industrial execution
- Experience creating and maintaining Product FSQ Specifications
- Experience defining the rules that production plants and partners must follow to meet FSQ standards
- Experience covering the entire value chain, from raw materials and process parameters to shelf life, sensory characteristics, and finished product attributes
- Experience driving the continuous improvement of documents by integrating learnings from plant audits, field operations, and consumer feedback
- Experience actively collaborating with relevant cross functional teams
