Job Summary
Product & Precision Ag Specialist and Hay, Forage & Forestry – Promote and demonstrate John Deere hay/forage/forestry equipment and precision technologies. Serve as SME for product lines, support sales teams with package specifications, on-farm demonstrations, setup, optimization, and training. Conduct equipment configurations, ROI-focused proposals, and field events to optimize performance, uptime, and ROI. Train store staff and customers on John Deere precision platforms (Operations Center, JDLink, displays), interpret data (yield, moisture, machine performance) and resolve technical issues with service teams. Maintain deep knowledge of JD precision solutions and stay current on product releases and industry trends. Requires independent work, travel within territory, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in precision agriculture, agronomy, farm operations, or agricultural technology support
- Strong knowledge of GPS guidance, telematics, ISOBUS, data management
- Experience with John Deere precision ag systems strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service, communication, and training skills
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work extended hours and travel within assigned territory
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in precision agriculture, agronomy, farm operations, or agricultural technology support
- Strong Practical knowledge of Hay and Forage production systems and/or Forestry operations
- Familiarity with modern Ag/Forestry equipment and basic precision Ag concepts (GPS guidance, telematics, ISOBUS, data management)
- Strong working knowledge of GPS, guidance systems, application technology, yield monitoring, and farm data platforms
- Experience with John Deere precision ag systems strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service, communication, and training skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and agricultural software systems
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons and travel within assigned territory
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
