Job Summary
The Product Performance Engineer will own and lead the capital device reliability program, defining and implementing methods to collect service and performance data, investigate service events, participate in depot service repairs, analyze and trend reliability information, and drive continuous improvement. Collaborates with Operations, Development, Quality and Field Service to align projects and support lifecycle activities, including new customer configurations. Develops metrics such as MTBF, return rates, and Pareto trends to monitor performance; leads lifecycle management projects and supports design-for-manufacturability and reliability requirements. This hands-on role requires learning the technology from the ground up, performing troubleshooting investigations and data analysis, and working with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement reliability initiatives. Key interactions include Operations, Development, and Quality; and responsibilities span reliability development, product lifecycle planning, and expanding customer configurations.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering
- 5+ years experience
- Manufacturing & Development experience
- Experience in reliability engineering or lifecycle improvement projects
- Project management experience
- Medical Device/Industry experience
- Startup, small business experience preferred
