Job Summary
Product Owner leading a multidisciplinary squad within a SAFe framework for Air Traffic Management solutions (ATM domain), responsible for allocating and prioritising ATM functions to epics, aligning the squad backlog with business objectives defined by the Initiative Owner, and delivering define/verify activities such as DoR and DoD. Engage with solution architects, safety, security and human factors engineers, and ATM SMEs to prepare and deliver requirements and design changes, provide technical direction, and ensure delivery within project cost targets. Key duties include setting the squad vision, organizing co-engineering efforts, defining work at the epic/feature/story level, prioritising program priorities, verifying DoR and DoD, synthesising information across sources, and contributing to validation strategies and technical reviews. Required experience includes a degree in engineering/IT, ATM domain knowledge, ISO/IEC 15288, ICAO/Eurocontrol standards, iterative/agile development, and prior Product Owner experience in an Agile framework; plus strong cross-functional stakeholder engagement and the ability to operate in a multi-discipline, multicultural environment.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, IT or related discipline
- Postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering (Desirable)
- Proven experience in the ATM domain (Air Traffic Management) and related standards (ICAO, Eurocontrol)
- 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering (Requirements, Design, Integration and Verification and Validation)
- Experience as Product Owner in an Agile framework
- Experience with Systems Engineering Standards (ISO/IEC 15288)
- Proven ability to work with Safety, Security and Human Factors standards and practices
- Experience coordinating with solution architects, speciality engineers and ATM subject matter experts
- Ability to define and manage epics/features/stories and maintain a ready and deliverable backlog
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfort with managing complexity and independent decision-making
