Job Summary
The Product Owner – Payments will lead a dedicated scrum team to enhance payment processing capabilities and improve the overall payment experience for customers. Responsibilities include maintaining a well-defined and prioritized backlog, driving sprint execution, and ensuring that shipped work delivers measurable customer and business value. Must possess strong backlog management skills and experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with a focus on customer needs, performance analytics, and cross-functional collaboration. Requires a BA/BS degree with 5-7 years of experience in IT or Fintech and a proven ability to translate user needs into actionable stories.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree required; technical, business, or quantitative fields preferred
- 5-7 years total work experience in IT, Fintech, SaaS, Payments, Processing
- 1–5 years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related product role in a SaaS environment
- Strong backlog management and sprint execution skills; deeply familiar with Agile/Scrum team operation
- Proven ability to articulate customer problems, define user stories, and translate requirements into actionable work
- Analytical thinker who uses data to justify priorities and evaluate the impact of shipped features
- Clear communicator with the discipline to document decisions, acceptance criteria, and changes precisely
- Technical curiosity and the ability to understand system behavior, constraints, and trade-offs without needing to code
- Strong attention to detail and a habit of ensuring features meet expected outcomes—not just delivery dates.
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum teams; CSPO or similar certification preferred
- Experience with payments processing, payment partner integrations, or related fintech domains is a plus
