Job Summary
Product Owner – Enterprise Data responsible for translating business needs into data-driven solutions across the enterprise, defining and prioritizing backlog items, creating detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, and ensuring testing readiness. Drives feature decomposition, story maps, PI Planning participation, and incremental value delivery. Partners with Data Product Manager, analysts, and engineers to manage the team backlog, mitigate risks, analyze metrics, and align product strategy with customer needs. 20% strategy & planning (customer understanding, roadmap development) and 80% execution & delivery (backlog health, feature delivery, QA readiness). Emphasizes data best practices, data security, scalability, collaboration, and customer satisfaction. Required skills include Agile/SAFe practices, Databricks, Python, SQL, Jira, Confluence, PowerBI, data engineering/BI fundamentals, strong communication, and a bias toward action.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, IT or related field; 5 years of Product Owner or similar Agile experience; 2 years data engineering/analysis/BI experience; professional licensure/certification preferred: CSPO, ICP-APO, POPM, SAFe 5/6; proficiency with Databricks, Python, Jira, Confluence, SQL, PowerBI; strong communication; team-oriented; customer-focused; hypothesis-driven learning; risk management; willingness to take informed risks; SAFe/Agile experience; ability to develop six-week backlogs; ability to analyze metrics and user feedback; ability to contribute to 12-18 month roadmaps.
