Job Summary
Product Owner for the Archives product line, responsible for prioritizing development work, guiding the Agile process, and representing archivist users to drive features from a user perspective. Collaborates with VP of Product, developers, archivists, and records managers to ensure workflows around accessioning, arrangement, description, preservation, and access are understood and translated into actionable requirements. Interfaces with internal and external audiences through product walk-throughs, aiming to deliver a consistent, intuitive user experience while staying current with archival standards (ISAD(G), DACS, ISAAR(CPF), EAD, Dublin Core) and metadata practices. Partners with Customer Success, Sales, and Support to gather feedback and identify opportunities for product improvement. Bonus points for Jira/Aha!, Pragmatic Marketing Product Management training, and familiarity with archival standards or metadata standards. Candidates should have a genuine interest in archives, records management, digital preservation, or cultural heritage and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
Required Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree or certificate in Library Science, Information Science, History, Archival Studies, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in a technical environment or working with archives/records management systems
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- An aptitude for technical concepts and the ability to simplify them for less-technical individuals
- Experience using a development task-management system for backlog prioritization
