Job Summary
Sort cut parts by size and label bundle tickets, manufacturing orders, and sewn garment components with QR codes. Match work components to fabrics, trims, and other materials to ensure proper assembly flow. Maintain accuracy and thoroughness while meeting productivity standards in a noisy manufacturing environment with heavy traffic. Lift and carry up to 40 pounds while standing and walking most of the day. This position supports the AbilityOne Program, which provides employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities by delivering products and services through nonprofit agencies.
Required Qualifications
- basic mathematics, reading, and writing skills
- At least six (6) months of related experience or training
- Essential English communication skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
