Product Operations Manager

Job Summary

Lead execution of product operations priorities at the store level, translating strategic direction into operational plans that drive inventory accuracy, product availability, and profitability. Support the General Manager by identifying operational risks and implementing solutions to improve consistency and productivity. Provide leadership to Product and Visual Operations Leaders, ensuring inventory management, product flow, and merchandising standards are executed consistently. Own the operational cycle and product flow, leveraging sales and inventory data to establish priorities and drive consistent execution of routines including MyCount, Reportal, returns, and markdowns. Lead merchandising and operational execution to ensure product presentation and story changeovers align with company standards. Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams through structured onboarding, coaching, and succession planning while reinforcing clarity of roles and accountability. Drive operational excellence across back-of-house processes, maintaining strong organization, compliance, and loss prevention practices. Model Indigo's guiding principles to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of progressive leadership experience in a specialty retail and/or multi-unit environment
  • experience leading teams in a customer-facing environment
  • College degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience leading and executing operational, inventory, and/or merchandising processes
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, shrink, and operational performance metrics
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain engaged, high-performing teams
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated operational discipline and strong understanding of merchandising, inventory control, product flow, compliance, and loss prevention
  • Adaptable and agile, with the ability to respond to change and leverage technology (including AI-enabled tools)
  • Maintains/obtains required role-specific certifications (e.g., First Aid, Joint Health & Safety Committee)
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, resilience, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods and safely lift medium to large items (up to 40 lbs) using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Bilingualism (French/English) required for roles based in Quebec
