Job Summary
Lead the RFP proposal writer product and the done-for-you service that writes bids for public sector clients. Inherit the roadmap and ship the next chapter of the tool alongside engineering and design. Launch the service immediately, writing responses for K-12, higher ed, and government entities while managing a remote freelance writing bench. Own pricing, packaging, and the services revenue line, then build outbound demand to expand the pipeline. Translate every written response into product specs and templates to accelerate future bids. Close first paid engagements in weeks one and two, ship ten live responses by week six, and scale the bench to volume by month twelve.
Required Qualifications
- 1-4 years in product at a fast growing company, or at a top consulting/finance firm or equivalent
- A strong academic record
- Exceptional writing
- Real comfort doing the work yourself before you delegate it, and real appetite for building the team that takes it over
- High agency
- Commercial instinct: revenue, margin, win rate
- Interest in the space. Public procurement is arcane, unglamorous, and enormous
Desired Qualifications
- Proposal, RFP, or grant writing experience
- public sector exposure
