Job Summary
Responsible for purchasing, order management and logistics to mitigate risk and enable profitability. Aligns purchases with the business strategies and financial goals. Principal responsibilities include managing order fulfillment, ensuring accurate shipping/delivery information, tracking PO backlog, developing supplier relationships to meet shipping commitments, coordinating with warehouse and transportation carriers, managing non-conforming inventory and disposition, communicating order status to planners, sales, and customer operations, and supporting initiatives to improve inventory health and supplier performance. Requires thorough knowledge of purchasing and logistics principles and 3+ years of related experience; bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in purchasing, order management or logistics
- experience with supplier management and logistics coordination
- ability to manage PO backlog, shipping and delivery tracking
- familiarity with inventory aging, fill rate and disposition
- strong communication with planners, sales and customer operations
