Job Summary
Product Marketing Manager at Slate leads cross-functional collaboration to translate complex automotive and technical concepts into clear, consumer-facing narratives. Responsible for product positioning, messaging, content strategy, and storytelling frameworks; owns the marketing brief process end-to-end; drives go-to-market planning for launches, updates, and new accessories; identifies culturally relevant moments to connect product stories to broader brand campaigns; monitors market trends and competitive activity to sharpen strategy; collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, design, and marketing teams to deliver campaigns on time and on strategy. The role requires strong storytelling, project management, and the ability to simplify technical information for broad audiences, with travel to Slate locations, events, and shoots as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably within automotive, consumer technology, or lifestyle brands
- Strong understanding of automotive products, vehicle technology, EVs, accessories, or related categories
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills with the ability to simplify technical information for broad audiences
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with both creative and technical teams
- Proven ability to develop product positioning and go-to-market strategies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
