Job Summary
Product Marketing Director owns the commercial narrative for Athennian's platform, defining pricing, packaging, and segment-specific positioning. The role shapes how the product is presented to large buyers (e.g., PE sponsors, private markets operators, mid-market legal ops) and leads workflow-focused marketing rather than mere feature listings. You will define tier structures, enable Sales and CS with value-based storytelling, run quarterly product webinars on AI capabilities, and partner with Product Management to align the roadmap with commercial value. The role requires hands-on product familiarity, data-driven decision making, and the use of AI tools to automate marketing tasks while maintaining quality and speed.
Required Qualifications
- ~10 years of total experience in product marketing or related field
- Senior Individual Contributor with last 1-2 years at Director level
- Proven B2B SaaS and startup experience
- Experience in pricing and packaging strategy (tier design, add-ons)
- Hands-on with a technical product; not just demos
- Demonstrated use of AI-powered tools to automate marketing tasks
- Experience with HubSpot (CRM, lifecycle tracking, campaigns) and Clay (data enrichment, workflow automation)
- Ability to translate product capabilities into segment-specific client workflows
- Comfortable building sales enablement programs and driving revenue outcomes
- Strong cross-functional collaboration (Product, Sales, Customer Success)
