Job Summary
Oversee end-to-end delivery of IT and business products in a health-insurance context, leading multiple projects, prioritizing backlogs, and guiding product strategy from ideation through post-implementation. Drive data-driven decision making, budget estimations, variance analysis, and KPIs to measure success while ensuring adherence to BCBS processes. Build and maintain cross-functional relationships, influence without direct authority, and present status updates to senior leadership. Lead the creation and maintenance of product-management methodologies, champion process improvements, and mentor teams to pursue excellence in product delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years experience in health insurance industry
- Experience in IT or business delivery focusing on product management or systems development
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools
- Strong analytical, leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
- Experience with health care products such as Claims Processing, Benefits Management, Enrollment, Customer Service and Operational reporting
- Ability to manage large-scale projects across internal staff, contractors, and vendors
